Hey there! My name is Marie Lewis and I am the co-creator of Hopeful Mom Blog. Why, co-creator? Well, you see, I believe whole-heartedly that God placed this idea on my heart. So, here we are 😊
A little about myself; I am a wife to an amazing guy and mother to two silly girls with baby #3 on the way. I don’t know the sex yet, so their name is Baby L for the time being .
I was born and raised in Georgia, love to write, and have an intense desire to challenge moms and women in general to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually. All alongside my Savior, Jesus Christ, of course 😉 Because without Him, I can do nothing.
MORE ABOUT MARIE
To put the icing on the cake, I thought it would be super cool to randomly list 5 fun facts that you most likely don’t know about me. Enjoy!
1. I’M A PICKY EATER
Ever since I was a little girl, I can clearly remember sticking to the basics when it came to food– cheeseburgers, pepperoni pizza, and French fries please! And with plenty of honey mustard on the side. I’m in my late 20’s and unsurprisingly not much has changed over the years. I still need my staples, but I somehow grew to somewhat like veggies and fruit overtime. If I’m honest, it could be a lot better. I’m a work in progress, umkay!?
2. I TELL IT LIKE IT IS…ON PAPER
Most people who know me (on social media) will tell you that they enjoy my realness, transparency, and how I share my thoughts. But for some reason it is super duper hard for me to express my opinion or views in public, especially with those I don’t know. I fear their rejection or that they may take it the wrong way and believe I’m trying to be a Miss-Know-It-All.
3. I DESPISE SCARY MOVIES
To this day, my husband and I have only watched about 1-2 scary movies together. And we’ve been together for 6 years! He always tries to get me to watch them with him, but I literally just can’t. I truly believe that we, as humans, are supposed to guard our eyes, mind, and spirit. It’s just too much negativity on TV nowadays for my soul. #sorrynotsorry
4. I WAS A TEEN MOM
I became a mom at the tender age of 18, and boy oh boy are times much different today than they were almost 10 years ago! Teen moms in this generation get TV shows and blow up on YouTube. While on the other hand, I received so many side eyes, fake and nosey friends, and a whole lot of struggle and drama. Things slowly turned around for me though, and I wouldn’t change one bit.
5. MY HUBBY IS MY BEST FRIEND
Many married women say this, I know, but it couldn’t be any more true. He makes me smile, I feel very comfortable with him, and I can’t imagine having what we have with any other man. I’ve been in relationships before meeting my husband, but the openness we have with each other is surreal. I freakin’ love it!
